GeoRisk Philippines is a multi-agency initiative led by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and monitored by the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) from 2018 to 2020. It has been institutionalized in DOST-PHIVOLCS since 2021.
To provide protocols and platforms to share hazards, exposure and other risk information to help people, communities, local governments, and national agencies prepare and plan how to reduce the risks from natural hazards
To be the Philippines central source of information for accurate and efficient hazards and risk assessment to help the government increase the nation's resilience to natural hazards
